Food For Thought Serve Day!

The best staff!

This Thursday we had the honor of joining forces with Food For Thought, a local non-profit making a significant impact on fighting childhood hunger in Santa Rosa Beach. Food For Thought Outreach was founded in 2010 as a small family initiative to address food insecurity among students. With a $300 budget, Founder Tiffanie Nelson collaborated with her son’s school to start delivering essential food supplies to children in need. Since then, the organization has become a central force in combating childhood hunger in Walton and Okaloosa Counties. Over the years, Food For Thought has adapted to the community’s evolving needs and now provides continuous food access to over 3,600 children throughout the year.

All smiles from Travis!

Their mission is: to remove the negative impacts of hunger, and empower a child to get the most out of their education and development by providing them weekly access to healthy, easy to prepare meals.

Pete says hey!

Our Serve Day focused on an exciting new chapter for Food For Thought as we helped them consolidate their operations into one central building. We worked side by side to transfer supplies, set up new storage spaces, and organize resources—an essential step for the organization to increase its efficiency and continue growing its reach.

This single-building setup will enable the team at Food For Thought to work more seamlessly, especially during high-demand seasons. From canned goods and fresh produce to backpacks filled with essentials, every item we moved represents more support for local children.

Thanks to our Q3 sales, we were thrilled to donate $2,500 to Food For Thought, allowing them the flexibility to use the funds where they’re needed most.

The day was not only a testament to the power of community but also a reminder of the importance of giving back. It was inspiring to see how many hands came together to help Food For Thought in their mission to ensure no child goes hungry. At Live30A, we’re honored to be part of such impactful moments and are grateful for the opportunity to support Food For Thought’s work here in Santa Rosa Beach.
